Tata Motors has recently introduced its facelifted versions of the Tata Harrier and Tata Safari in the Indian market. Now, the company is actively working on its new electric models, the Tata Curvv Electric and Tata Punch Electric. Additionally, the highly anticipated Tata Harrier Electric is expected to be revealed in the near future. The latest generation Tata Curvv was showcased for the first time at Auto Expo 2023.

New Tata Curvv

In the revealed images, the Tata Curvv appears to be entirely camouflaged, making it challenging to gather detailed information about its design. However, it is expected that the design of the Curvv showcased at Auto Expo 2023 will differ from the previous version. Notably, there is an exhaust pipe visible at the rear.

It’s worth noting that Tata Motors has previously used disguised exhaust pipes in testing its electric vehicles. However, it has not been confirmed whether the Curvv is electric or petrol-powered.

Upon careful examination of spy images, the vehicle’s muscular appearance and distinctive wheel arches with folding design can be observed.

Moreover, it features a connected LED taillight setup at the rear and excellent headlamp setup, connected LED DRLs. The design of the Tata Curvv closely resembles that of a compact SUV. The rear also includes unlinked taillights and an aggressive bumper.

Tata Motors has employed the Curvv’s steering wheel inspired by Tata Curvv in its recent updates to all three models. It is expected that this steering wheel will also be featured in the upcoming Tata Curvv. The cabin will feature a futuristic central console, a dashboard layout with a premium infotainment system, and premium leather upholstery. Additionally, soft-touch surfaces will be available in several places.

New Tata Curvv Features List

The new generation Tata Curvv is expected to offer advanced technology features. It will be equipped with a large touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Among other highlights, it will include wireless mobile charging, dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, height-adjustable driver’s seat, front ventilated seats, and a welcome function. Rear passengers will have dedicated AC vents.

As for safety features, the Tata Curvv is expected to come standard with six airbags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, hill hold assist, hill descent control, traction control, a 360-degree camera, front and rear parking sensors, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

At this point, there is no information available about the engine options based on the spy images. In a recent spy image, a CNG button was visible, indicating that it might feature a turbo-petrol engine, CNG, or electric power. Details about the engine options are not yet confirmed.

Recently, Shailendra Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited, mentioned that presenting a petrol engine is a challenge for them, indicating a shift towards electric vehicles. It was revealed at the 2023 Auto Expo that the Tata Curvv will be launched with its electric variant first, followed by the ICE variant.

It is expected that the new electric Tata Curvv, inspired by the Coffee Style SUV, will be launched in mid-2024 in India, with the ICE variant following shortly after.

According to some media reports, it is anticipated that the starting price for the Tata Curvv in the Indian market will be around 10.50 lakh rupees (ex-showroom).

Once launched, the Tata Curvv will compete directly with popular models in the Indian market, including Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
